My Grandmother
So, yesterday I got the phone call that I have been dreading for a couple of years.  My Grandmother had been rushed to the hospital, and was doing very badly.  From the emotions that my mom was barely holding in over the phone, it was obvious that she wasn't expected to pull through this time.

Laura and I drove down the 3 hours to see her in the hospital (my mom and aunt were already there, and no one else in the family is within 5 hours).  And of course, when I got there, she was sitting up, making jokes, and seemed to be on the road to recovery.  I was told the doctors were shocked at her rapid improvement, and she looked 10 times better than the night before.

Now even with that, she still looked weaker and in more pain than I have ever seen her before.  It's not the first time this year that she was rushed to the hospital.

Thank you so much everyone who offered prayers yesterday.  Now I need to go crash, as I am too drained to think anymore.

((hugs)) Here's hoping she hangs in there for another decade or two!

It's good that your grandmother is doing better. Try to get some rest.
